Art markers celebrated in Port Townsend Creative District

PORT TOWNSEND — Artists, dancers, restaurateurs, musicians and city officials celebrated the arrival of five “art markers” signifying the city’s Creative District designation Tuesday night.

The markers, made by local sculptor Jonah Trople, bear QR codes linked to information about PTcreativedistrict.org.

The reclaimed wood sculptures can be found outside the Port Townsend Library’s Charles Pink House at Harrison and Lawrence streets, at the Fort Worden State Park main gate, on Tyler Plaza downtown, at Washington and Monroe streets, and at Tyler and Lawrence streets Uptown.
