With April in bloom, art in all forms is abundant this weekend across the North Olympic Peninsula.
Here are highlights on the live music, visual art and multimedia fronts.
• “All in the Family” is the Sequim Museum & Arts show starring artists Orval Howe Sr. and granddaughter Sammy Catiis.
The public is invited to the opening reception tonight from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.; then the exhibition of nature-loving landscapes and photography stays on display through April.
The Sequim Museum, at 540 N. Sequim Ave., is open 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays.
• The Jefferson Museum of Art & History will celebrate “Wood,” its exhibition of woodworkers’ art and tools, with an open house Saturday.
Jefferson County Historical Society members — including new ones who sign up at JCHSmuseum.org’s membership page — are invited to the gathering from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the museum, 540 Water St., Port Townsend.
A woodworking demonstration, live music and a short talk by curators and contributors are part of the event.
The museum, which also houses art by local makers and an exhibition on future remodeling of the building, is open Thursdays through Sundays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• The Concerts in the Woods series returns with a show by Ranger and the Re-Arrangers at 3 p.m. Saturday.
The venue is the Laurel B. Johnson Community Center, 923 Hazel Point Road, Coyle, directions to which are found at coyleconcerts.com.
This afternoon of hot jazz comes with free cookies and coffee at intermission; the concert is free too, with donations welcome.

• Yellow Birds, an Americana trio from Portland, Ore., will fly into Finnriver Farm & Cidery on Saturday.
Harmonies and original songs will pour forth from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the cidery, 124 Center Road, Chimacum, where there’s a $5 cover.
• Jazz vocalist Jenny Davis will sing at Wind Rose Cellars, 143 W. Washington St., Sequim, this Saturday.
Guitarist Chuck Easton and bassist Ted Enderle will join her from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. for an evening of original songs and jazz standards with no cover charge.
• “For the Love of Animals” is the theme of Center Valley Animal Rescue’s gala at the Northwest Maritime Center, 431 Water St., Port Townsend, on Saturday.
The festivities will start at 5 p.m. with a catered dinner, live and silent auctions and sharing of animal-rescue success stories.
Tickets are $75, or $100 for a VIP package, with proceeds benefiting the no-kill animal shelter and wildlife rehabilitation center in Quilcene. For details and to browse auction items, see centervalleyanimalrescue.org or phone 360-765-0598.
• Phina Pipia and Matt Sircely will play their handmade blend of original and traditional music inside the Palindrome at Eaglemount Winery, 1893 S. Jacob Miller Road, Port Townsend, on Sunday.
The sound of strings and brass will fill the room from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. There’s no cover but contributions for the music are welcome.
• The Brasil Guitar Duo, João Luiz and Douglas Lora, will appear at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Wheeler Theater at Fort Worden State Park, 200 Battery Way, Port Townsend.

• Singer-songwriter Kristin Myers will fill the Rook at Manresa Castle with her music this Sunday.
Myers’ set goes from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Castle, 651 Cleveland St., Port Townsend.
• Chuck Easton and George Radebaugh will bring a tuba, an accordion and some jazz, samba and polka to Finnriver Farm & Cidery on Sunday.
Their gig will go from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Chimacum venue.
• “Earth, Water, Sky: Paintings by Hart James, Photographs by Paul Shapiro” is the new show at Northwind Art’s Jeanette Best Gallery in downtown Port Townsend.
The exhibition includes a meet-and-greet with the artists from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the gallery, 701 Water St. Another artist talk is set for 7 p.m. Wednesday; it’s also free, but it’s online with registration necessary at northwindart.org.
