Art Beat to be part of Small Business Saturday

SEQUIM — Community members are invited to celebrate creativity and collaboration while supporting local artists and art organizations with Art Beat Small Business Saturday, hosted by the Sequim pARTners.

Art demonstrations, performances and sales of holiday wares are planned on Saturday during Sequim’s Hometown Holidays.

From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., an Artists Market is planned with sea glass artists Mary Beth Beuke, and fiber artists Lynn Baritelle, Holly Bliss, Renne Emiko Brock, Jennifer Harris, Robin Nelson and members of the North Olympic Shuttle and Spindle Guild during the Fiber Arts Festival “Interlaced Lore — Adventure, Fellowship, & Perseverance” exhibition’s final day at Sequim Museum & Arts, 544 N. Sequim Ave.

From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., a gift gallery and artists demonstrations are scheduled at the Blue Whole Gallery, 129 W. Washington St.

Throughout the day, artists from the Olympic Peninsula Art Association will promote their upcoming members’ art show and members of the Sequim City Arts Advisory Commission events and projects around town.

Partners include Blue Whole Gallery, First Friday Art Walk Sequim, North Olympic Fiber Arts Festival, Olympic Arts Theatre, Olympic Peninsula Art Association, Sequim City Arts Advisory Commission and Sequim Museum & Arts.

The festivities also mark “Small Business Saturday,” when local merchants offer gifts and stocking stuffers, and hold raffles/contests as well as offer some refreshments.
