PORT TOWNSEND — The Splinter Group and the Port Townsend School of Woodworking will host their annual woodworking show from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.
The show is in the American Legion hall, 209 Monroe St.
Organizers expect more than 20 booths featuring fine furniture, sculpture, carvings, bowls and decorative pieces by area woodworkers.
Many of the pieces on display will be made of wood harvested from Chimacum’s Valley View Forest.
The Jefferson Land Trust donated two trees to the Splinter Group, a big leaf western maple and a red alder that were nearing the end of their natural life span.
“We’re very excited to be welcoming the public back to the Woodworkers Show again, and even more excited to be using this beautiful, locally harvested wood,” said Tim Lawson, a Splinter Group member and an instructor at the School of Woodworking.
