Alki Jones to perform in Port Angeles

PORT ANGELES — Alki Jones is coming back to Port Angeles on Saturday.

Mixing covers and originals, the Seattle-based band will perform at Bar N9NE, 229 W. First St., from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Opening the night of music is the Micah Rud of The Turps.

The cover is $4. Attendees must be 21 or older.

The style of Alki Jones, an alternative/grunge band, was said in 2016 by Northwest Music Scene to be a “distinct and difficult-to-pin-down approach to rock and country music.”

Singer and acoustic guitar player Andrew Galbreath, lead guitarist Tyler Petersheim, drummer Bruce Weitz, and bass player Chase Baldwin have played throughout Washington and Oregon, including a mainstage performance at Seattle’s 2017 Folklife Festival.

Alki Jones’ first EP, Deep Well Sessions, was released in 2015. The band’s sophomore album, Volume 1, which features the nostalgic single, “Mine and Yours,” was released in 2017.

The newest EP, Volume II is in the mixing phase and set to release in December.
