PORT LUDLOW — An enchanted princess, a mischievous fox and singalong songs will come to life in “The Enchanted Tail,” a Port Ludlow Performing Arts production, this weekend.
The musical will take the stage at 3 p.m. this Sunday at the Bay Club, 120 Spinnaker Place, with doors opening an hour before the concert.
Tickets are $10 per adult, with children 12 and younger admitted free. Tickets are available beforehand at the Bay Club or at the door.
All children must have an adult chaperone.
Soprano Victoria Robertson (the Princess) and baritone Bernardo Bermudez (the Fox) and pianist Vernon Snyder have produced and will star in Port Ludlow Performing Arts’ first children’s concert.
Children, who are urged to attend in the costumes of their favorite characters, will be encouraged to participate in the adventure, which will include a singalong, jokes and dancing.
Sponsors for the concert include Coldwell Banker Best Homes, Crossroads Music and Port Townsend businesses such as Whistle Stop Toys and Seams To Last. Some of the sponsors will have tables at the concert to sell items of special interest to young concertgoers.
Free refreshments of cookies and juice will be available at the end of the concert, as well as photo opportunities with the Princess and Fox.
In addition to “The Enchanted Tail,” Robertson and Bermudez, friends and colleagues for the past 10 years, will perform together the day before in “Duetto,” with accompaniment by Snyder.
Their voices will soar at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, with doors opening at 6:15 p.m.
Tickets are $25. Sales of online tickets have ended.
