51st Rotary Salmon Bake set for Sunday

SEQUIM — The Rotary Club of Sequim will present its 51st annual Salmon Bake on Sunday at the Sequim unit of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Olympic Peninsula.

The salmon bake at 400 W. Fir St., will begin at noon and close at 4 p.m.

Tickets will be $18 each at the door. Discount tickets are available for $16 at www.sequimrotary.org.

Pre-sale tickets also are available from Sequim Noon Rotarians, the Sequim Boys & Girls Club, the Sequim YMCA, Thomas Building Center, Beal Carpet & Drapery and the Sequim Chamber of Commerce.

Hot dog tickets for children 12 and younger are $5 each at the door.

The club will have alder-fired wild salmon or special Sequim recipe barbecued pork available with fresh crisp salad, a roll, ice cream dessert and coffee or soft drink.

The Dukes of Dabob will serve up classic Dixieland jazz and swing beginning at 11:45 a.m.

The Cat’s Meow will follow at 2 p.m. with selections from “The Great American Songbook.”

Raffles are planned all afternoon and players will not need to be present to win.

Salmon Bake proceeds help Sequim students, the Sequim unit of the Boys & Girls Clubs, Sequim Education Foundation Classroom Grants for Teachers, Sequim Orthopedic Guild for Seattle Children’s Hospital and local Rotary youth projects such as the club’s Adaptive Bike Program.
