PORT ANGELES — Kallie Ann LeTellier is facing six possible new charges in connection with the theft of firearms from the scene of a triple murder east of Port Angeles in late 2018.
LeTellier, 35, and two co-defendants were charged in January 2019 with three counts of aggravated first-degree murder with firearm enhancements for the Dec. 26, 2018, shooting deaths of Darrell Iverson, 57, Jordan Iverson, 27, and Tiffany A. May, 26.
The Clallam County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office filed last Wednesday a supplemental motion for determination of probable cause and for filing of six new charges against LeTellier.
The proposed new charges are three counts of second-degree unlawful possession of a firearm and three counts of possessing a stolen firearm.
Clallam County Chief Criminal Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Michele Devlin deferred the filing of the amended charges to Friday.
“Based on discussions with defense, we are not going to ask to enter that amended information at this point,” Devlin said told Superior Court Judge Lauren Erickson.
Disposition hearing
Devlin requested a disposition hearing on the revocation of a drug offender sentencing alternative, or DOSA, for LeTellier in two prior cases.
“We’d also ask that the ’19 [triple murder] case just be set at the same time,” Devlin told Erickson.
“We’ll address the amended information at that point, your honor.”
Erickson scheduled a disposition/review hearing for LeTellier at 9 a.m. Feb. 4.
LeTellier’s six-week trial is set for March 16.
Earlier this month, Devlin told Erickson that she planned to speak with defense attorney Larry Freedman about a potential plea offer for LeTellier.
LeTellier’s co-defendants, Dennis Marvin Bauer, 51, and Ryan Warren Ward, 38, are also facing possible weapons charges in connection with the theft of firearms from the murder scene, Devlin has said.
Bauer’s six-week trial was moved this month to June 8. Ward’s six-week trial was rescheduled for May 4.
Erickson signed orders to compel additional DNA testing in all three triple murder cases.
The Clallam County Sheriff’s Office said the murders appeared to grow out of a disagreement between Bauer and Darrell Iverson over the treatment of Letellier.
The victims lived at Darrell Iverson’s residence at 52 Bear Meadow Road, where nearly 1,000 pieces of evidence were collected.
The proposed new charges against Letellier stem from a 15-page supplemental arrest narrative that alleges Letellier “actively participated in and was complicit in burglarizing Darrell Iverson’s residence, which included the theft of firearms belonging to Darrell Iverson.”
“She also admitted to helping Ryan and Dennis load the car with stolen firearms at 52 Bear Meadow Road and then unloading these stolen items at 2591 Lower Elwha Road,” Clallam County Sheriff’s Sgt. Jeff Waterhouse said in the supplemental probable cause statement.
“Kallie LeTellier was a convicted felon at this time and was unable to possess firearms yet did so after committing murder and during the commission of a burglary.”
Investigators collected 15 firearms and/or firearm parts from the Lower Elwha Road residence after the murders, Waterhouse said.
LeTellier has pleaded not guilty to the murder charges.
She is being held in the Clallam County jail on $3 million bail.
