PORT ANGELES — The Clallam County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating a Forks man who is accused of kidnapping, assaulting and raping a woman, authorities said Tuesday.
Richard Dickinson has a $250,000 warrant out of Jefferson County for first-degree kidnapping, first-degree rape, second-degree assault and for violation of a no contact order while the Clallam County Sheriff’s Office has probable cause for arrest for investigation of first-degree kidnapping, second-degree assault and violation of a no contact order, said Clallam County Sheriff’s Sgt. Ed Anderson.
Dickinson, 33, has blue eyes, is 6-foot-1-inch tall, and weighs 250 pounds, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Anderson said all charges stem from an incident March 7, when a woman told authorities that Dickinson had abducted her on the West End of Clallam County and took her to the West End of Jefferson County, where she said she was sexually assaulted.
According to a probable cause report from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office used to obtain the warrant, the woman said he forcefully removed her from her car and forced her into his truck before driving her to an abandoned home. He then took her up to a secluded area and sexually assaulted her, the report said.
The report said that when deputies investigated the scene the next day they found signs of a possible struggle and that the woman had multiple visible injuries to her face, neck, head, arms and knees.
Anderson said the woman is now safe. He said he did want not release too much information because the investigation is still open and active.
“We are continuing to work with Jefferson County for continued follow-up,” he said.
Anderson said deputies have looked throughout Clallam County at places Dickinson is known to frequent and have not been able to find Dickinson.
