SEQUIM — A Sequim man is being held on $350,000 bail in the Clallam County jail after Sequim police accused him of multiple counts of rape and molestation of children.

Bail was set for Lynn G. Johnson, 67, a level 2 sex offender, on Monday after he was booked Friday in the Clallam County jail for investigation of raping and molesting at least four children ages 13-16.

Formal charges are expected to be filed at 1 p.m. Wednesday.

Sgt. Mike Hill said Johnson allegedly supplied minors with money, alcohol, tobacco, and/or marijuana in exchange for sexual favors.

Johnson’s case remains under investigation; more alleged victims may come forward, Hill said.

Sequim police said they received reports in mid-January of alleged sexual contact with Johnson that occurred over a period of several years.

Hill reports Johnson was arrested outside his vehicle, about one block away from his residence at 367 W. Cedar St., Sequim, without incident.

Johnson was convicted in 1996 as a sex offender for second-degree child molestation and third-degree child molestation.

Those with information about Johnson are asked to contact Sequim Police Officer Paul Dailidenas at 360-683-7227.
