PORT ANGELES — Lincoln Park Grocery has been burglarized for the second time in as many weeks, the Clallam County Sheriff’s Office said.
Chief Criminal Deputy Brian King said a man pried open the front door to the business at 1500 W. Lauridsen Blvd., at about 2 a.m. Thursday and stole cigarettes, chewing tobacco, beer and other items.
“It was captured once again on surveillance,” King said in a Friday interview.
“We can tell he stole an unknown quantity of cigarettes, and unknown quantity of chewing tobacco, a case of beer, sunflower seeds and a water bottle.”
The items were packed into a dark colored duffel bag.
Another burglary occurred at same convenience store at about
8:30 p.m. Jan. 23.
“We’re confident it’s not the same individual,” King said.
The Jan. 23 burglar entered the store by kicking in plexiglass at the front door, deputies said. He was described as a white man in his early 20s between 5-foot-7-inches and 5-foot-10-inches tall.
“He was wearing a jersey with the number 20 on the front,” deputies said in a Jan. 24 announcement.
“He has approximately a two-day old beard and has been seen hanging around the area of First Street around the Port Angeles Post Office. He carries two backpacks (one in front and one in back).”
No description was available of the Thursday morning burglar.

The Lincoln Park Grocery was the target of several burglaries in 2017 and 2018.
Two boys, who were not named because of their age, broke into the store and stole hundreds of dollars worth of cigarettes and caused several hundred dollars worth of damage in June 2018, deputies said.
The boys were identified from images taken from a surveillance system that was installed in the wake of previous burglaries in 2017.
