PORT ANGELES — A four-week trial for a woman charged with second-degree murder has been set for next March.
Clallam County Superior Court Judge Simon Barnhart granted a continuance on Wednesday to move the trial of Tina Marie Alcorn, 54, to March 23, 2026.
Alcorn is charged with second-degree murder in the death of Native American woodcarver George Cecil David nearly 10 years ago. The charges are the first filed by the state Attorney General’s Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and People Cold Case Unit, which was established in 2023.
The Attorney General’s Office is prosecuting the case at the request of the Clallam County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
Alcorn is expected to appear for a status hearing at 9 a.m. Sept. 26. She remained in Clallam County Jail on Friday in lieu of $1 million bond.
