PORT ANGELES — Deputies were actively searching the Port Angeles area last week for Guy Jay Ralph Jr., a non-compliant registered sex offender who had left his home in Clallam Bay, Clallam County Sheriff’s Sgt. John Keegan said.
Ralph, 40, had moved from his registered address about a month after his previous sex offender verification check, Keegan said.
Ralph is described as being a white male who is 6-foot-3, 230 pounds with brown hair, brown eyes and tattoos.
Anyone with information on Ralph’s location is asked to phone the Sheriff’s Office at 360-417-2459.
Ralph was convicted of second-degree sexual abuse in 1998 in Jackson County, Ore., according to the Clallam County Sheriff’s Office.
The victim was an 18-year-old female acquaintance, deputies said.
“Ralph is a level 2 sex offender posing a moderate risk to re-offend in the community,” Keegan said in a Thursday statement.
“The Clallam County Sheriff’s Office is committed to ensuring that offenders who have been convicted of a sex crime or crimes and who are required to register check in with the Sheriff’s Office routinely and provide current, accurate address information as set forth by Washington state law.
“Failure of an offender to provide this information is not tolerated and the laws will be enforced by the Clallam County Sheriff’s Office accordingly,” Keegan added.
