FORKS — A Neah Bay man has been charged with raping and molesting two girls between 2009 and 2015 while he babysat them.
The girls, now 15 and 16, told a Forks police officer that the assaults occurred at a trailer in Forks.
Eric Stacey Greene, 53, had bail of $20,000 on four child sexual assault charges set Monday at his preliminary appearance in Clallam County Superior Court before Judge Brian Coughenour.
The Clallam County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office requested $100,000 bail.
Coughenour set Greene’s arraignment for Feb. 8.
Greene is charged with counts of first-degree child rape and, in the alternative, second degree child rape; first-degree child molestation and, in the alternative, second-degree child molestation; first-degree child rape, and first-degree child molestation.
An FBI agent contacted Forks Police Officer Julie Goode about the alleged sexual assaults in October, according to the Dec. 13 probable cause statement by Goode.
Goode interviewed Greene in November.
Greene, of the 600 block of Third Street in Neah Bay, told Goode he “touched” the girls in a sexual manner.
Goode interviewed the girls and their mother at the Forks Abuse Program.
One girl was assaulted between 2009-11, she said.
The other girl said she was assaulted between 2012-15, she said.
Coughenour’s conditions of release include no contact by Greene with the alleged victims and no contact with children younger than 16 years old.
If released, Greene also would be on electronic home monitoring.
Greene was apprehended Friday on an arrest warrant.
