The Olympic Peninsula Visitor Bureau is requesting participation in a survey about outdoor recreational tourism and activities that affect businesses.

It says the deadline is today, but the visitor bureau is extending participation through the close of business Friday, said Marsha Massey, executive director of the Olympic Peninsula Visitor Bureau (OPVB).
State Rep. Cindy Ryu of the 32nd Legislative District is coordinating a legislative group focused on outdoor recreation funding and has requested assistance from the state’s destination marketing organizations such as the OPVB.
The anonymous survey gathers information about COVID-19-related economic impacts based on cancellations of outdoor recreational tourism events and activities.
These would include outdoor sporting tournaments (like baseball or soccer tournaments), outdoor festivals and events, runs/marathons, camping and RV parks, as well as private outdoor recreational businesses, such as tour operators and attractions.
