Peninsula College Community Education to offer CDL course

PORT ANGELES — Peninsula College Community Education has announced a new course to prepare students to pursue a commercial driver’s license.

The 160-hour course will be taught weekdays from March 22 through April 15.

Students who earn their CDL will be eligible for job placement assistance, according to a press release.

The college perceived a community need for CDL training, Camilla Rico, the director of entrepreneurial services said.

“Until now, you had to drive all the way to Port Orchard to find CDL training. That’s just too far for a four-week long class,” she said.
