The DAISY Foundation has recognized Michael Perchert-Osuna, a registered nurse at Olympic Medical Center’s Intensive Care Unit, with its DAISY award.
The award recognizes the extraordinary, compassionate nursing care provided to patients and families.
The foundation, which takes its name from the acronym Diseases Attacking the Immune System (DAISY), was established by the family of J. Patrick Barnes who died in 1999 from complications of the auto-immune disease idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura.
