Olympic Peninsula Tourism Commission’s website awarded

PORT ANGELES — The Olympic Peninsula Tourism Commission has announced that its website has received a Communicator Award of Distinction from the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts.

The award was in the category of travel/tourism websites.

The website, www. olympicpeninsula.org, is intended to inspire potential visitors to learn about the peninsula as a destination and provide access to travel planning tools and lodging listings.

The commission is a collaborative marketing partnership funded by lodging tax contributions from Port Angeles, Forks, Sequim, Clallam Bay, Sekiu, the Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce for Port Townsend, Mason County, the Jefferson County Tourism Coordinating Council, the Lake Quinault Innkeepers Association and the Olympic Peninsula Visitor Bureau for Clallam County.
