PORT TOWNSEND — Jefferson Healthcare recently earned accreditation for Hospice and Palliative Care from the Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC).
Certification by the ACHC, an authority for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, validates a health care organization’s compliance with national standards and its dedication to a high level of patient care.
The hospice care and palliative care team consists of a medical director, hospice nurses, social workers, home health aides, clergy, therapists and trained volunteers who provide holistic care to patients toward the end of their lives.
