Grand opening set Saturday

PORT TOWNSEND — Ross Pruden Fine Art will host an art show and book-signing to celebrate its grand opening from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday.

While the business is internet-based, the grand opening is in the Cotton Building, 607 Water St.

The event features an exhibit of Ross Pruden’s large format photography, book launches for two new books, one by Pruden and one by his 15-year old daughter, Zoe, as well as an exhibit of black and white photographs by Pruden’s 25-year old son, Thomas.

Pruden’s book, “Gods, Ghosts, Lovers, and Robots: Over 100 New Short Stories For The Public Domain You Can Reuse, Remix, and Resell,” is an anthology of short stories.

Zoe Pruden’s novella,”When I Left,” is a psychological thriller; she also drew the illustrations for the book.

There will be some speeches at 2 p.m. followed by book signings by both authors.
