Deadline to apply for ad hoc committee is July 22

PORT ANGELES — The Clallam County Lodging Tax Advisory Committee is seeking citizens to form an ad hoc committee to review strategic tourism plans and develop requests for proposals to support the plans.

There are two seats each to represent Port Angeles, Sequim and Jefferson County, and one seat each to represent the Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe, the Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe and Olympic National Park.

Applicants should have a background in tourism.

The final three or four seats will be filled by members of the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee.

This ad hoc committee will provide its report at the Sept. 12 Lodging Tax Advisory Committee meeting.

Interested parties should contact Loni Gores, clerk of the board, by email at agores@co.clallam.wa.us or by U.S. mail at Board of Commissioners’ Office, Clallam County Courthouse, 223 E. Fourth St., Room 150, Port Angeles.

The deadline for applying to the committee is noon Monday.
