Clallam PUD earns Smart Energy Provider designation

ARLINGTON, Va. — Clallam Public Utility District #1 has earned the Smart Energy Provider designation from the American Public Power Association.

The SEP program recognizes public power utilities for excellence in four areas: smart energy program structure; energy efficiency and distributed energy programs; environmental and sustainability initiatives; and customer experience.

The association bestowed the two-year designation upon just 27 public utilities nationwide this year for a total of 94 current designees out of more than 2,000 member utilities.

The 2019 designees include Clark Public Utilities, Mason County PUD #3 and Tacoma Power.
