Counties impacted

Producers in Clallam, Cowlitz, Grays Harbor, Jefferson, Lewis, Mason, Pacific, Thurston and Wahkiakum counties who suffered losses due to a recent drought might be eligible for emergency loans through the Department of Agriculture’s Farm Service Agency.

Emergency loans may be used for a variety of recovery needs including the replacement of essential equipment or livestock, reorganization of a farming operation or refinancing certain debts.

The deadline to apply for these emergency loans is April 2, 2020.

More information and application forms are available online at www.tinyurl.com/PDN-FSA-Loans.

The agency will review the loans based on the extent of losses, security available and repayment ability.

The agency also administers a number of other programs that can assist farmers to recover from this disaster. Information on those programs is available at www.farmers.gov/recover.
