BUSINESS BRIEFS: Fitness class Thursday at Sequim gym; tai chi classes begin next week

SEQUIM — The Sequim Gym will host a senior fitness class from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday.

The free event at the gym, 160 E. Bell St., will highlight aerobics, a light dumbbell workout, balance work, a stretch and a few minutes of meditation.

Reservations are recommended, as space is limited.

Tai chi class

SEQUIM — Sequim Gym, 145 E. Washington St., will host a free beginning tai chi class at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 20.

Tai chi “promotes stress reduction, peace of mind, greater balance, pain reduction and many other scientifically proven benefits with regular practice,” according to a news release.
